Job Description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installation, relocation, and preventative maintenance for industrial machinery to maximize production operations and minimize down time in a print manufacturing environment. In this position, you will apply your expert mechanical knowledge and principles in determining equipment malfunctions, restoring, and maintaining equipment and installing new equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Familiarity with PLC’s, limit switches, optical sensors, proximity switches, machine interface, DC, AC, servo drives and motors, encoders, motor starters and controls
• UV, IR, and gas ovens
• Electrical systems for HVAC
• Conduit bending, power distribution up to 480VAC
• Follow all safety procedures required in an industrial environment
• Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance manuals, to understand schematics, PLC and electrical ladder diagrams, use appropriate meters, and test equipment to accomplish the above
• Make repairs or adjustments to keep equipment in operation
• Understand and perform all troubleshooting procedures on the machineries and repair equipment
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures
• Inform supervisor of equipment problems and place service calls when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledgeable of the digital printing process and best practices
• Printing equipment installation and maintenance a plus
• Must have 5 years or more experience as a maintenance electrician
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain an active physical presence on the production floor; this position may require sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, pushing, climbing, moving, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 100 pounds
• May be exposed to loud noise, ambient temperatures, wet environments, and confined spaces
• Must be flexible to adjust work schedule (days and nights shift)
