Job Description

As an HR Assistant in the finance sector, you aren’t just handling paperwork; you are the backbone of a high-compliance, fast-paced professional environment. You will support the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring that our talent—from quantitative analysts to portfolio managers—is supported by seamless administrative processes and impeccable data integrity.

salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding Support

  • Coordinate interview scheduling across complex calendars (trading desks, executive leadership).

  • Facilitate the background check process , which is rigorous in finance (FINRA/SEC compliance, credit checks, and employment verification).

  • Prepare offer letters and digital onboarding packages.

2. Compliance & Data Management

  • Maintain precise employee records within the HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, or Oracle).

  • Ensure all personnel files meet strict financial regulatory standards and internal audit requirements.

  • Assist with the documentation of annual compliance training (Anti-Money Laundering, Ethics, etc.).

3. Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding health insurance, 401(k) contributions, and bonus cycles.

  • Liaise with the Finance/Accounting department to ensure payroll data (overtime, commissions, and deductions) is accurate.

4. Employee Experience & Culture

  • Assist in organizing firm-wide events, town halls, and "Lunch & Learn" sessions.

  • Support the annual performance review cycle, helping managers track completion rates.
