Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team in Jacksonville. This is a crucial, high-volume role that offers the right candidate an opportunity to become a long-term, permanent member of our Florida team. You will be reporting directly to the Accounting Manager in a professional, focused, and collaborative office environment.
This is a true temp-to-hire opportunity with an intention for the candidate to transition to permanent employment. For those committed to excellence, pay increases are routinely reviewed.
salary: $21 - $22 per hour

Responsibilities
- Proven experience working in a dedicated Accounts Payable role
- Familiarity with high-volume invoice processing 220-300 a week
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Processing, verifying, and reconciling a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Utilizing specialized accounting software for all payable functions. (Note: automated payment systems and do not process manual checks.
- Assisting in the vendor management process, including setting up and onboarding new vendors
- Cross-referencing and auditing payroll-related information, such as submitted work hours and employee time cards
- Creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs) for purchases over $2,500
