Job Description

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Accountant to join their growing finance department. Located in the heart of the Montgomery/Howard County business corridor, this mid-level role is designed for a professional ready to step into a leadership position within the accounting cycle. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data, streamlining month-end procedures, and providing actionable financial insights to the management team.

salary: $22 - $34 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Lead month-end and year-end close processes and maintain the general ledger.

• Analysis: Perform balance sheet reconciliations and budget-to-actual variance analysis.

• Compliance: Ensure GAAP adherence and assist with Maryland-specific tax and business filings.

• Audit Lead: Serve as the primary contact for auditors and prepare all required documentation.
