This position is located in the city of Sacramento .

This is a 12-month limited term position that may be extended and/or may become permanent at a later date.

Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Performance Management Consultant is responsible for performing the more varied, and complex technical employee performance management and progressive discipline personnel work and conducting independent consultation and training to all levels of management on performance management processes, progressive discipline, and related HR procedures. The Analyst II review, edit, and draft a variety of memorandums, notices, and other documents related to performance issues.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbents must live and work in California. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time.

Working Conditions

The majority of the work will take place in one of the following locations with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders: a DOR open office setting in a cubicle environment, offsite in the community, at events and various partner locations, and/or at an approved alternate work location. The incumbent must have the ability to work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week and remain at a workstation for extended periods while utilizing a personal computer, peripherals, and other office equipment with or without accommodation. The incumbent will be working in an office setting with both natural and artificial lighting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
