We are sharing a specialised full-time W-2 opportunity for experienced ASIC and semiconductor engineering professionals with strong backgrounds in power analysis, PPA optimization, low-power design methodologies, and scripting-driven ASIC flow development.
This role supports an exciting opportunity through Cincinnatus LLC, an enterprise staffing company that partners with leading technology companies to place highly skilled professionals into full-time and long-term contingent roles.
Selected professionals will perform power analysis and optimization work in ASIC for AR and VR products, with areas of interest including machine learning. This role is especially well-suited to senior engineers with deep expertise in RTL and netlist-level power analysis, synthesis and physical design flows, UPF-based low-power methodologies, and data-driven scripting workflows using Python, Tcl, and SystemVerilog.

ASIC Power Analysis & Optimization
Perform PPA optimization using Fusion Compiler
Perform RTL and netlist-level power analysis
Analyze power trade-offs across design and back-end implementation workflows
Support technically rigorous ASIC power optimization in advanced hardware environments
Flow Setup, Debugging & Scripting
Set up, run, debug, and analyze reports across ASIC flows including synthesis, physical design, power, and timing
Perform post-processing and scripting on report log files for format conversion, data analysis, and information extraction
Apply scripting and data analysis skills to support repeatable, efficient engineering workflows
RTL, UPF & Communication Support
Implement selected blocks at the RTL and UPF level
Support low-power design work using UPF specifications and related methodologies
Document work clearly and communicate technical findings effectively across teams
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
10+ years of experience as an ASIC Power Engineer, CAD Engineer, or Physical Design Engineer
Experience with power estimation tools, synthesis, and some physical design
Strong knowledge of power trade-offs in design and back-end implementation
Hands-on experience in scripting and data analysis
A BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Strong ability to document and communicate clearly
Preferred qualifications
Experience with Synopsys tools such as DC, ICC, PTPX or PrimePower, VCS, and Verdi, and/or Cadence tools such as Joules
Experience with Python, Perl, or similar scripting and data post-processing tools
Familiarity with Excel or Matlab for model fitting, data visualization, and analysis
Experience in low-power design, tools, and methodologies including UPF power intent specifications
Experience with silicon power characterization
Some power profiling experience at the IP or SoC level
