Akkodis is seeking a Nuclear Project Engineering Manager for a Direct Hire with a client in Kansas City/Overland Park, KS/ Ann Arbor, MI/ Chattanooga, TN/ Cary/Raleigh, NC/ Ontario, Canada/ DC Metro. The ideal candidate will lead complex engineering projects by applying advanced technical expertise while supervising project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary engineering teams .
Salary Range: $180K/Yearly to $190K/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Nuclear Project Engineering Manager job responsibilities include:
Lead and supervise engineering teams while applying advanced engineering techniques to solve complex, unique technical challenges.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, technical deliverables, and overall team performance for medium‑ to high‑complexity projects.
Interface directly with clients on all technical aspects of the project, including managing scope changes and contract-related modifications.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, design guides, and quality programs while providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff.
Coordinate with cross‑functional internal and external teams to support project execution, business development, and proposal efforts.
Advance technical expertise through participation in professional societies, mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and contributing to industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program (professional licensure preferred or in active pursuit).
Minimum of 11 years of related engineering experience, preferably with 10+ years in the nuclear industry.
Must meet all eligibility, requirements under 10 CFR 810 to support the global nuclear program.
Ability to successfully complete all pre‑employment checks, including background screening, drug testing, and motor vehicle records review.
