Job Description

Spectra Tech is seeking eight Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) engineers to support fissionable material operations in Oak Ridge, TN.

Principle job duties include:

• Development, revision, and review of Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) documentation such as Criticality Safety Evaluations (CSEs), Nuclear Criticality Safety Design Analysis and Calculations (DACs) and various other NCS technical basis documentation:

o Completion of required NCS annual Operational Reviews as needed.

o Daily nuclear facility support as needed; consisting of facility walkdowns, review of NCS requirements implementing documents, participation at facility Operational Safety Boards, etc.

Education:

A BA/BS degree with a minimum of 2 years Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) experience (preferably with DOE-specific experience).

Preferred 4 to 5 years of Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) experience (preferably with DOE-specific experience).

Telework is possible after initial training is completed and STR/Manager is comfortable with performance and approves telework. Telework time is at the discretion of the STR/manager.

· A DOE Level Q clearance is preferred. If uncleared, the successful candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.

· U.S. citizenship is required (no dual citizenship).
