Role: Microsoft Azure DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

Work Location: Richmond, VA (Remote)

Type: Contract

Description:

• A Microsoft Azure DevOps Infrastructure Engineer designs, implements, and manages secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Azure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Key responsibilities include creating CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, optimizing cloud resources, and ensuring system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform to automate Azure resource provisioning.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management : Design and maintain build/release pipelines via Azure Pipelines.
• Azure Administration: Configure and manage Kubernetes (AKS), containers, networking, and virtual machines.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, secrets management, and compliance checks (DevSecOps).
• Monitoring & Reliability: Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for performance monitoring and alerting.
• Collaboration: Work with development and operations teams to facilitate smooth, automated code deployments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Cloud Expertise: Experience with configuring Azure Resource Manager to enable automation and deployment of Microsoft Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security), and to enable one-click automation and self-service functions to users
• Scripting/Automation: Experience in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
• DevOps Tools: 5 + years of experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Boards, Pipelines, Artifacts).
• Containerization: 5 + years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Certification: AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions is required.
