The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Loan Servicing Specialist – Closings & Construction role in the Chicago, IL  area. The position is responsible for working with borrowers, title companies, legal counsel, the company’s Head of Construction, and other parties involved to ensure smooth closings, construction draws, and compliant loan servicing. This is a unique opportunity to learn and develop in multiple areas of a high-growth company.  (This is a hybrid remote position.)

Loan Servicing Specialist responsibilities include:

• Oversee pre-closing preparation, scheduling, and transaction funding. 
• Track checklist diligence items, review for accuracy, and keep deals on schedule. Regularly follow up with borrowers and respond to closing inquiries. 
• Coordinate with legal counsel, title company representatives, the borrower, and their attorney to ensure a smooth transaction. 
• Lead the draw process from intake to funding. 
• Ensure compliance by reviewing sworn statements, lien waivers, title updates, permits, 
• inspections, and insurance documents. 
• Confirm and balance construction budgets. 
• Assist borrowers with draw documentation and process inspection requests within 8 business hours. 
• Optionally join on-site construction inspections. 
• Loan Servicing and Portfolio Maintenance 
• Ensure compliance with insurance, property tax, and financial requirements. 
• Maintain internal portfolio records and project documentation.

• Two or more years of experience in mortgage closings, loan servicing, and construction draws. 
• Proficiency in Google Drive, Gmail, Sheets, Docs and Microsoft Equivalents.
