Job Description

About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced IB English A or B teacher to join our strong and passionate team. We are looking for passionate, experienced educators who can contribute meaningfully to our rigorous academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Teach IB English A: Language & Literature or English B, or English Literature, depending on the position
* Independently plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons
* Familiarize with and meet the requirements of our school curriculum and IB frameworks
* Teach across two to three different grade levels and potentially work with students in multiple curriculum tracks (IB, AP, A-Level)
* Conduct 16–20 classes per week (each class is 40 minutes), plus 2–3 morning reading sessions weekly (30 minutes each)
* Provide timely feedback and academic support to students
* Collaborate with colleagues while also maintaining the ability to work independently
* Contribute to building an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative school culture

Requirements:
* Native English speaker
* Bachelor’s degree or above in English Literature, Linguistics, Education, or a related field
* Professional teaching qualification (PGCE, teaching license, or equivalent preferred)
* Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IB English A or B (preferred)
* Strong understanding of IB curriculum and assessment practices
* Ability to manage diverse classrooms and tailor instruction to varied learning needs
* Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork

We prioritize teacher development and offer regular opportunities to attend IB, AP, and A-Level workshops to support professional growth.

Working Schedule & Holidays
* Our school is government-owned, and we observe only Chinese national holidays (e.g., no Christmas or Thanksgiving break)
* Summer break starts mid-July
* Teachers receive approximately 10 weeks of paid leave annually
