Job description- Charlotte Douglas Airport Baggage Handling System

Floor Support Unjammers (THIS IS NOT A POSITION WITH A DIRECT AIRLINE)

*MUST be able to pass TSA Screening* Federal Background Check, VALID DL, ACCESS TO BIRTH CERTIFICATE and SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. ** Must be able to obtain CBP Security Seal*

Must be able to work 12 hour shifts either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday. Positions are first come, first serve. After openings are full, we will be accepting applicants for the 'on-call position'.

**Walk-in Interviews Monday-Thursday from 9am-1pm @ 10935 Winds Crossing Drive Ste 100 Charlotte, NC 28273** You must bring 2 valid forms of ID to complete app.

The position will be responsible for safely clearing bag jams at the Charlotte Douglas Airport if and when they occur, assisting technicians with mechanical and electrical repairs when needed, manually moving baggage during system outages, manually encoding bag tags when needed, performing general clean-up of work areas and conveyor equipment, and monitor and assist the flow of baggage through critical areas of the system.

Required Skills / Education:

  • Good communication, customer service skills and basic computer skills are required.
  • Must be available to work scheduled shift(s), which may require work at night, on weekends, and on holidays as required.
  • Attention to detail is very important, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure and provide excellent client service.
  • Must have driver's license with clean MVR preferred.
  • Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements.
  • Follow Lock out Tag out procedures
