Under the supervision of the Program Manager, incumbent will provide analytical support to the Safety and Enforcement Division’s (SED) Electric Safety and Reliability Branch (ESRB). The Staff Services Analyst (SSA) will perform the more sensitive, varied, and technical analytical assignments such as program evaluation and planning, database management, and essential administrative duties while assisting with research to support policy analysis and formulation, systems development, budget tracking, and the hiring process.

This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California.   2. Describe your experience in website management, including designing any webpage and posting information.
  3. Describe your experience in report preparation. Your answer should include purpose of the report you prepared and the audience.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Experience managing, analyzing, and maintaining databases and spreadsheets containing sensitive data, as well as uploading reports onto websites and making other changes to website content.
  • Experience with budget tracking and preparing quarterly budget reports.
  • Experience assisting with the hiring process - scheduling interviews, gathering interview materials, and maintaining a hiring schedule.
  • Excellent in analyzing performance metrics, generating monthly management reports.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to keep management apprised of the status of work assignments.
  • Experience performing essential administrative duties such as scheduling meetings/conferences, arranging logistics and travel logistics, and updating websites.
